Fridayyyyyyyyyyyy!! Yea! Today’s letter from the A to Z Blogging Challenge is M.
My “M” is for “Motivation.”
A while back I wrote a post about student motivation, so today, I chose to write about teacher motivation.
What motivates teachers??
The amazing pay? Uhhhhhh, NO.
The amount of respect from the community, and the government? Uhhhhh, NO.
The time off? I know, I know! Somewhere out there someone is saying, “You get ALL SUMMER OFF!” Uhhhhh, NO. We don’t.
Some of us are on a year round schedule, so our summers are a great deal shorter AND if you add up the amount of time we come in before school, and stay late after school, we have just about the same amount of “worked hours” as most jobs in other fields.
Are you starting to get the picture?????
I don’t mean to start off on a negative note, especially on a Friday!!
But my point is, if you are a teacher and you are going to stay in the profession for any time at all, you HAVE to find your motivation within your students!
It is a must for you to continue teaching and not get burned out. No one can do it for you so I can’t post “101 Ways to Find Motivation within Your Students.”
I think it is MUCH more beneficial if you seek this out yourself.
You have to be positive and CHOOSE to look for all the good things at your school and in your students!
I thought I would show you some of things students do that motivate me:
That’s all for now!!! Have a great weekend & always pay attention!
